    Notes:

    More proof is needed to link this Samuel Perry to Nathan Perry. The July 1961 NEGHS article says that Nathan's Samuel died young and doesn't list him in Nathan's will. Samuel would have been 18 at the time of Nathan's death, and may have already departed the Sandwich MA area. "Perry-Long" published in 1975 states "Samuel b. August 24, 1751 - not mentioned in father's will.

    The Sears Cemetery is in the southeast part of the town of Saratoga NY. From Route 4, north of the Battlefield and south of Corveville, turn west on Hanehan Road. Drive up Hanehan Road, up the hill and around the corner, 3/10 miles. The cemetery will be on your left (south of Hanehan Road and west of Route 4). Walk across a field and into the woods about 200 yards from the road. Look to the right (west side) of the power line a short
    distance. The cemetery is near the edge of the woods and in sad condition.

    Rebekah (Rebecca) Sears may have been the daughter of Nathaniel Sears and Phebe Lincoln. This Rebecca was born 17 Aug 1762. Her father was lost at sea in 1771. Her mother married Gorham Baker. This Rebecca was married to Heman Gage at Yarmouth, MA 22 March 1781. Subsequently, they moved to Hawley, MA. Several others in her family also moved to the "unbroken wilderness", including her sister Phebe Sears (who married Seth Hall) and Desire (who married Joseph Bangs and later her brother Rufus. Her sister Jerusha Sears married Anthony Gage. A further search of Yarmouth MA marriage records may turn up more proof.
