Vanceburg, Ky. - Jack Stafford, 71, of 505 Cooper St., died 6:30 a.m. today at his residence. Born Sept. 21, 1889 (?), at Laurel, Ky., he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stafford. He married the former Elizabeth Stone and is survived by his wife and children, Mrs. Henry Bate, of Vanceburg, Rt. 3, Mrs. Corrie (?) Parker, New De?, India; Paul of Chillicothe and Mack of Flemingsburg; brothers, John, Harry, Fielden and James of Camp Dix, Ky., and Ralph and Tom of Vanceburg; sisters, Mrs. Laura Howard and Mrs. Minnie Howard of Vanceburg, Mrs. Ca? McCarty of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Rebecca Hershey of Huntington, W. Va. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren. Funeral services are to be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Blankenship Christian Church with Rev. Earl McKinney of Cincinnati officiating. Burial is to be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery at Riboit (?), Ky. Friends may call at Dickerson Funeral home after 7 p.m.
