He signed a will in 1778 in Rowan County, NC. His will, said to have been written Jan. 15, 1770, was probated in Rowan County in 1784 (WBI C156). .

He was a planter (farmer), until his death in 1784, in that part of Rowan which later became Davie County in 1836. Source: Call Family History, Birth and Baptism records from Heidelberg Lutheran Church, Rowan/Davie County marriage records and marriage bond records.

Could William be the "William Call" who received a land grant during 1783 in NC.

William and his wife had nine children-- all noted in his will.
