A retired employe of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, Mr. Stafford was a native of Mississippi and a long-time resident of Caldwell Parish. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jean Stafford of Grayson; two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Turner of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Mrs. Travis Gore of Vidalia; four sisters, Mrs. Benson Box and Mrs. Robert Reese, both of Winona, Miss., Mrs. Howard Castile of McGehee, Miss., and Mrs. Jerome Post of Tallulah; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. James Sweeney officiating. Mrs. Stafford was born in Wythe Co., Va., March 23, 1918, to the late William Cloyd Seagle and Ollie Etta Collins. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gilmer S. Stafford. Mrs. Stafford was a devoted home maker. She loved children with all her heart and was a nanny to many in her lifetime. Nanny enjoyed her time gardening and fishing. Most of all she enjoyed raising and spending time with her family. Nanny was a loving person with a smile on, who never met a stranger. She was always open and willing to help anyone in life. Mary was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and Nanny to many.
