  Obituary: Flint Journal, The (MI) - February 6, 2007 Deceased Name: BLACKMAN Theron MacLain "Mac" - Age 80, died Saturday, February 3, 2007 at home. Mac was born in Flint on November 12, 1926, the son of Theron and Mildred (Blaine) Blackman and had lived in Flint all his lifetime. Mac had worked in the offices of AC Spark Plug Division for 37 years, retiring in 1987. He was a lifelong member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Kerr Holiday Tours, Inc. and had traveled the United States as well as Europe. Mac enjoyed studying International Royalty. He also supported many charities. Surviving are: his half-brother, Ivan's 2 daughters and many cousins. Mac was preceded in death by his parents and his half-brother, Ivan. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 1653 Davison Rd., with Rev. Michael Quayle officiating. Burial will take place in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3-6 PM Tuesday and 1-6 PM Wednesday at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Thursday, Mac will lie in state at the church from 10 AM until service time. Memorial donations in his name may be directed to Asbury United Methodist Church.
