Deceased Name: SCOTT
SCOTT, Bette Jane (Holloman) - Age 77, passed away at her residence in Midland, Sunday, August 22, 1999. Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday, August 27, 1999 at the West Vienna United Methodist Church, Rev. James Britt officiating. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 11AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. Bette was born in Flint, and was a childhood resident of Pine Run, MI. She was preceded in death by parents, Adiel and Florence Holloman; her husband, Donald L Scott, former senior vice-president of First of America Bank (National City) in Clio; sisters, Jean Palmer of Penfield, NY, and Dorothy Holloman of Flint. She is survived by: sons, Kevin and wife Sue Scott of Midland, Casey Scott of Denton, TX; granddaughter, Brittany Scott of Midland. Mrs. Scott was proactive for many years in the Clio Women's Club, the Clio Historical Society, The March of Dimes, United Way and other charitable and philanthropic activities. She attended Central Michigan University and was an enthusiastic supporter of Public Education and public television. She enjoyed art, particularly her work with oil painting, and supported many local and national artist through the foundation for public arts. "Mom" Scott's house was always home for persons and animals that may have been "in between locations", including Bobo the dog and Toby the cat.
