• Notes

  Peter Lyons was a Judge of the Virginia Court of Appeals. He was admitted to the Virginia bar in 1756, was the plaintiff's attorney in the famous Parsons' case in 1758, was judge of the General Court and also of the Vermont Court of Appeals in 1779, and was President of teh Virginia Court of Appeals from 1803 to 1807.
