  MARRIAGE 24 Sep 1904, Whitley County, Indiana, Book 7:60, to May Tannehill CENSUS 1910 IN, Whitley County, Richland Township, page 10B: M. Anderson & MayG rimes 1920 NJ Monmouth County, Middletown, page 3B: M.A. & Mae Grimes There is a question in my mind about whether or not this is the right ma n. It is the same man in the marriage record and teh 1910 census; I cann ot find them or their daughter Evelyn afterward. He is the right a ge to be Anderson A. Grimes, son of Cassius and Frances Grimes, and I assu me that he is. Interestingly enough, Alma O. Holben with three McConne ll girls living in the household nextdoor is his cousin, daughter of Steph en & Rachel Bishop Grimes. 03-2006: Mahlan Anderson Grimes, with wife Mae, and chidlren Evelyn, Bern ice & Mahlan, moved to Middletown, Monmouth, New Jersey, where he was a co nstruciton foreman. He also registered for the WWI draft there. As to wh ether or not he is the son of Cassius & Francis Grimes...I believe he i s, but I have not found the actualy "proof". However, Mahlon would be a n ame given because of their ancestor Mahlon Grimes, husband of Rhua Melvi na Compton and father of Cassius M. Grimes.
