- Charles Hayes Moore for many years was involved in the lumber business in
Murray, KY where he was part owner and manager of the Hood-Moore Lumber
Company on South 5th Street. Some yers later he became associated with the
Murray Lumber Company when that organization was formed from a merger of
Hood-Moore Lumber Compna and the Hughes-Houston Lumber Company in 1929.
Charles and his wife, Florence Churchill, were devout members of teh First
Christian Church in Murray, KY where Charles Hayes Moore was secretary for
many years. They had no children.
