• Notes

  Started timber mill at Mataraua station - timber shipped from Hicks Bay to Auckland. In 1930s started a garage in Waihau Bay which operated until the mid 1960s. Later started a timber mill at Te Araroa which operated until 1969. Bill then returned to Waihau Bay where he ran the school bus and the Cape Runaway - Te Kaha cream run as well as the garage.
