- Cecile born in Fowlerville, taught school for a time, but at 29 decided to be a nurse, Trained at WH Foote memorial hospital in Jackson MI graduated Aug 1917. In April 1918 she joined the US Army nurses corp. Sept she was shipped overseas to Base I Hospital St. Lasair, France where she served until 1919. She then took the position for 31 years for Public Health City of Flint Nurse. Retired at 65.She married for the first time at 69years old. Husband a retired Heat Plumbing man, she moved to Wiggins Lake near Gladwin where they lived until his death. Moved in with niece Paddy Lou Havens in St. Johns...before entering the convalescent in Ovid MI where she died June 2 1970 She was buried next to Elmer Stafford.
