Band 4th Texas Inf. Nat. Guard; seeks exemption for occupation and
dependent; height and build medium, eyes gray, hair brown, not bald, no
disability.
On the 1910 census, Manning Henderson, age 24, single, is living as a
boarder on Navarro Avenue in McLennan Co., TX, town of Mart, ED 96, p.
25-B. He is working as a brakeman for freight trains
On the 1920 Census, Manning Q. Henderson is living (with other grown,
unmarried children) in the home of his widowed mother, Mary A. Henderson,
at 1407 Crawford Street, Houston, Harris Co., TX, ED 52, p. 5-B. He is
single, b. TX, f.b. MS, m.b. TX, working a special switchman for the
railroad.
On the 1930 census, Manning W. Henderson is living at 1604 Hamilton
Street in Houston, Harris Co., TX, ED 69, p. 48. He is renting his home
for $30, age 42, married at 38, literate, b. TX, f.b. NC, m.b. MS,
working as a switchman for the railroad, and is a veteran of the World
War. He is married to Maxie L., age 41, married at 37, literate, b. TN,
f.b. TN, m.b. TX. They have no children but a nephew, James C. Bugg, is
living in the home; he is age 21, single, b. TX, working as a clerk at an
oil company.
