  Funeral services for Miss Janie Lou Smith, 67, of the Fairview community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held on Monday, September 26, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Peek Cemetery in the Harmony community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Sunday and Monday until time of services . Miss Smith passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2005, at the Tennessee Christian Medical Center in Madison, TN. She was born August 23, 1938, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Henry Dee Smith and Bessie Stafford Smith. Miss Smith was a homemaker, and was affiliated with the Harmony Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Harvey Smith, Lonnie Smith, and Eldon Smith; 1 Sister-in-Law: Doris Smith; and 2 Nephews: Larry Smith and Joe Scott. Survivors include 1 Brother: of Gainesboro, TN & 1 Sister-in-Law: of Watertown, TN; 1 Sister and Brother-in-Law: of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Uncle of Gainesboro, TN; and a Special Friend: Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. O’Neal Huffines will officiate at the services.
