I Henry Colding, being of age of twenty-one years and upwards to wit, of the age of fifty one, hereby apply for membership in this Society by right of lineal descent in the following line from William Stafford who was born in Wales, Great Briton on the day of about 1750 and died in Black Swamp SC on the __day of__, 1811 and who assisted in establishing American Independence.
I was born in Savannah, County of Chatham, State of Georgia on the 4th day of September, 1856.
I am the son of Silas Maner Colding and Laura Francis Sibley, his wife and grandson of Henry Colding and Mary Asenatha Maner, his wife and great grandson of John Maner and Ruth Stafford, his wife, and great, great grandson of William Stafford and Christina, his wife, and he, the said William Stafford, is the ancestor who assisted in establishing American Independence while acting in the capacity of Lieutenant Colonel commanding South Carolina troops.
