George Edgar Lowe
George Edgar Lowe, 74, of Uniontown, died Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at 9:40 p.m. at Morganfield Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Mr. Lowe worked on a river boat for 17 years, was a 1st Mate and also had a Pilots License. He was retired from Whirlpool after 25 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Nita June Lowe; three sons, Eddie Lowe Jr. of Owensboro, Jerry Wayne Lowe of Uniontown, and Gary Lee Lowe of Morganfield; two sisters Gladys Payne of Owensboro and Georgie Lowe of Corydon; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 12, 2005, at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with Reverends Chris Reynolds officiating. Burial was held at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
