  Kentucky Post--February 9, 2002 Fay Stafford , 73, of Sparta, died Thursday on U.S. 42 West near Warsaw in an auto accident. She was a licensed funeral director and a former employee of Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home, Warsaw, and McDonald Funeral Homes, Owenton. She was a member of Warsaw Baptist Church and the Gallatin County Fair Board. Her husband, James Stafford, died in 1988. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Rees Gilliam of Taylor Mill; sons, Roy Lawson of Wheatley and James Timothy Stafford of Sparta; a sister, Lila Jean Gardner of Lexington; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owenton Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
