  Kentucky Post--June 1, 1998 Paul ''Poppy'' Stafford , 63, of Owenton, died Friday at Owen County Memorial Hospital in Owenton. He was a farmer, a former truck driver for Kraft Dairy in Owenton, and a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church, Owenton. Survivors include his wife, Mary Purcell Stafford; a daughter, Paula Dempsey of Owenton; a brother, Donald Beck Stafford of Wheatley; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McDonald Funeral Home, Main Street, Owenton. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Owenton. Memorials are suggested to Beech Grove Baptist Church, Owenton, Ky. 40359; or American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 130, Williamstown, Ky. 41097.
