  Name: Sarah Burt Given Name: Sarah Surname: Burt Sex: F Note: There were only two Burt families in Massachusetts at this time; and presumably, tho not necessarily, she came from one of them. The first was the Richard Burt family originating in Taunton, MA and spreading west in Massachusetts through three generations. The second were the descendants of Henry Burt who was granted land in western frontier Massachusetts near where John and Joseph Cook would migrate after the French and Indian War. "New England Marriages Prior to 1700" lists 31 different Burt marriages, all descended from either Richard or Henry. There seems to be no record of her death in either Hopkinton or Douglas.
