• Notes

  James Worsley was the rector of Gatcombe, Isle of Wight. His 3rd son was Henry Worsley (1783 - 1820), a luitenant-colonel. He is frequently confused with Sir Henry Worsley (1768 - 1841), born at Appuldurcomb, I.O.W. Sir Henry was a major-general and second son of Francis Worsley, rector of Chale in I.O.W., and Anne Roberts. Sir Henry married Sarah hastings and had 1 daughter, Elizabeth.
