Mary Louise Roberson Mayberry
A memorial service will be held Sept. 11 for Mary Louise Mayberry of Eugene, who died Sept. 5 of age-related causes. She was 84.
She was born Oct. 13, 1919, in Mesa, Ariz., to Charles and Pearl McKenzie Roberson. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1937 and married Howard Mayberry on June 29, 1937, in Medford. He died March 2, 1983. She lived in Arizona, Ashland, Portland and Eugene.
She was employed by Farmers Insurance from 1959 until her retirement. She played violin and, as a teenager, played in the orchestra for the first Oregon Shakespeare Festival . She had been a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church f: for more than 40 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Croney of Bend; two sons, Howard and Duane, both of Springfield; a brother, Winfield Roberson of California; a sister, Venita Frey of Beaverton; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Saturday's service will be held at 11 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Eugene. Private Inurnment will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements. . . .
