Bonnie Raines Bowman - Herald-Citizen - (Nov/16/2007)
COOKEVILLE -- Graveside services for Bonnie Raines Bowman, 89, of Baxter, will be held Friday, Nov. 16, at 4 p.m. at Cookeville Cemetery.
Mrs. Bowman died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 6, 1918, in Jackson County to the late Logan and Avo Netherton Raines.
Mrs. Bowman was a co-owner with her daughter of Gift Gallery in Cookeville for 21 years.
She was a member of Bloomington Springs Church of Christ.
Her family includes a daughter and son-in-law, Katherine Austin (C.L.) McDonald; a sister, Lois Ralnes Bostic of Baxter; a granddaughter, Benni Rice and husband Jim Ed Jr. of Nashville; and two great-grandchildren, Andrea and Jim Ed Rice III, both of Nashville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jess E. Bowman; three brothers, Logan Jr., Mark and Marshall Raines; and two sisters, Genia Raines Vaughn and Myrtle Malone.
