MR. HARRIS DIED THURSDAY (OCTOBER 4, 1990) IN DETROIT RECEIVING HOSPITAL IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN.
BORN APRIL 19, 1910 IN JACKSON COUNTY, HE WAS THE SON OF THE LATE POLE AND MARY JANE WHITAKER HARRIS.
MR. HARRIS WAS A RETIRED METAL FINISHER AT THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION IN HAMTRAMACK, MICHIGAN, AND A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF CHRIST.
HIS FAMILY INCLUDES ONE SON, LARRY HARRIS OF DETROIT; ONE DAUGHTER BETTY STAFFORD OF DETROIT; TWO BROTHERS, ROOSEVELT AND JAMES HARRIS, BOTH OF GAINESBORO, AND VELMA BOWMAN AND LELLA JEAN HANEY, BOTH OF COOKEVILLE; EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN AND SEVERAL GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.
MR. HARRIS WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE, THEO GODSEY HARRIS; TWO SONS, BOBBY AND ROGER HARRIS, AND ONE SISTER, MATTIE STEWART.
