Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jo Harris Lawson, 81, of Gainesboro, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, November 26, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson Co.

She was born January 3, 1923, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Pole and Mary Whitaker Harris.
She was married to the late Cecil Lawson, who passed away on April 21, 1985.
Mrs. Lawson was a housewife and a member of the Columbus Hill Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her step-mother: Eula Godsey Harris; 3 Sisters: Mattie Stewart, Hattie Chaffin, and Louise Haney;
and 2 Brothers: Cordell Harris and Roosevelt Harris.
Survivors include 2 Sons: Garry Lawson of Gainesboro, TN,and Ricky Lawson of Lebanon, TN; 1 Brother and Sister-in-Law: James & Sally Harris of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sisters and 1 Brother-in-Law: Velma Bowman, and Jean & Harlen Haney,all of Cookeville, TN. 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren also survive. . . .
