Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred D. Hooten, 86, of Hilham, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, and at 2 p.m. at Fairview Free Methodist Church in Jackson County with Bro. Cecil Barlow officiating. Burial was in Lynn Cemetery.
Mrs. Hooten died Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Born January 27, 1921, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Ollie D. (Brown) Stafford.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Diane Hooten of Hilham; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Betty and Arnold Travathan of Hilham and Mable Kellar of Livingston; a brother, Jack Stafford of Florida; 3 sisters, Lou Edmonds of Michigan, Annette Ledbetter of Florida, and Juanita Livingston and her husband Paul of Portland; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
