Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Irene Stafford, 71, of
Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday,
February 10, 2010, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral
Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris
Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 P.M.
– 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services.
She passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2010, at
Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN.
She was born April 30, 1938, in Jackson County, TN, to the
late Averette and Hazel Lee Stafford. She was married to the
late Roger Stafford. She was a factory worker, and a member
of the Dudney's Hill Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded
in death by her brother: Eddie Lewis Stafford.
Survivors include her son, Roger Stafford, Jr. of Gainesboro;
brother, William (Linda) Stafford of Nashville, TN; sisters: Brenda (P.J.) Stafford of Old Hickory, TN and Faye (Don) Reeves of Nashville, TN; brothers-in-law: Eugene (Margaret) Stafford of Gainesboro and Ray (Bunie) Stafford of Gainesboro; and sister-in-law, Briney Hammock of Gainesboro.
