Funeral services for Mr. Freeman Bailey, 90, of Gainesboro were conducted Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Bro. Wally Kirby officiating.
Interment was in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone commuminty. Mr. Bailey passed away Sunday morning, May 7, at the Cumberland River Hospital.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ.
Born March 6, 1910 in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Bedford and Martha Jane Hall Bailey.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ofa Jackson Bailey, who passed away Augut 22, 1997, one son, Charles Edmond (Buddy) Bailey and one sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances Morris of Keller, Texas, and Joan Philpot of Columbia, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Adam Ruffin, Christopher Ruffin, Britt Morris and Kelli Elizabeth Fletcher; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Ruffin and Bailey Frances Ruffin. Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of the arranements.
