Thomas Stafford left a Will in Caswell Co., NC, 1839 (Will Book N, page 287). In his will, Thomas names his wife as "Jincey". I've seen this mis-transcribed "Sincey". The old handwriting is difficult to interpret. The "J", "L", and "S" look very similar, and sometimes identical. Thomas' Will named 1 son Jesse Stafford, and 1 daughter Betsey Webster. Thomas also names his grandson John who is living with him.
Most of Thomas' descendants from Jesse moved to Benton Co., TN. They are on the 1850 Benton Co., TN census. Two of Jesse's sons moved to Fayette Co., TN.
In 1860 most of those in Benton Co. moved to Weakley Co., TN.
