COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Sam D. Stafford, 64, of Baxter will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 31, at the funeral home.
Mr. Stafford died on Monday, May 30, 2005, at his residence.
He was born on March 17, 1941, in Jackson County to the late Sam T. and Hallie Biggs Stafford.
He worked at the Ford Motor Assembly Plant in Michigan.
His family includes his wife, Janice Gaw Stafford of Baxter; a son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Patty Stafford of Jackson County; a daughter, Sandra Elane Stafford of Jackson county; four stepsons, Randall, Gary, Jeff and Tommy Henley, all of Cookeville; a stepdaughter, Janet Field of Cookeville; several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, George Stafford of Cookeville, Paul and Daniel Lee Stafford, both of Gainesboro, and Jack Stafford of Jackson County; four sisters, Bonnie Phann of Baxter, Jo Helen Hammock of Cookeville, Janie L. Yules of Putnam County, and Mae Ellen Mayberry; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.HE WAS ALSO PROCEEDED IN DEATH BY 2 WIFES GLINDA SUE TAYES STAFFORD & MARGARET CEPAULSKI STAFFORD.
Pallbearers will be Gary, Jeff, Tommy, Jamall and Jesse Henley and Chris Fields.
Bro. Mike Owens will officiate at the services.
