Ella Lucille Garrett, 72, of Bloomington Springs, TN, passed away Oct. 14, 2000. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville, TN, with burial in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.. . .
Mrs. Garrett was born Sept. 27, 1928, in Jackson County, TN, the daughter of Hershel A. and Maggie L. Smith Stafford.
She was a retired cafeteria worker at Cookeville General Hospital, and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy Gray and Doris Garrett of Bloomington Springs and Teddy Ray and Collene Garrett of Double Springs, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Treva and Butch Chaffin of Cookeville; brothers, Johnny Stafford of Cookeville and Willie Stafford of Crossville; five grandchildren, Stacy Ray Garrett, Tracy Lynn Garrett, Paul Turner, Tommy Wayne Garrett and Trina Ann Garrett; three great-grandchildren, Kyra Garrett, Matthew Turner and Quinton Garrett; and two step-great-grandchildren, Amanda Randolph and Frankie Randolph.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Maggie Stafford; and her husband, Earl Garrett.
Whitson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
