Died:
- Louise “Pank†Stafford Keller, 83, of Williston died Aug. 6, 2009.
She was born Jan. 30, 1926 in Lake Worth to William and Gertrude Stafford.
She moved to Williston in 1993 from Cocoa Beach. She was of the Presbyterian faith and she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Williston where she was also an elder.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels with her daughter and she was also a Red Cross Volunteer at Cape Canaveral Hospital. She loved to do volunteer work, traveling and has been able to see a lot of the world as she traveled with her husband who was in the military. She was an avid Atlanta Braves’ fan and loved Chipper Jones. She was also known to have a wicked sense of humor. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.
She was the great-granddaughter of Jesse Mercer Willis, the founder of Williston.
She is survived by her son Lee Stafford Keller; daughters Diane Garrison, Karen Stresau (Steve), Linda Pugeau (Mark), Peggy Keeter,; Vonda Keller; sister Helen Newkirk (Ralph) of Tampa; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Aug. 9 at the Knauff Funeral Home-Chapel. It was Ms. Keller’s wishes to be cremated and she will be interred by her husband in the Willis Family Cemetery on Noble Avenue in Williston at a later date.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, make donations to Haven Hospice.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Williston.
