Dorothy Maurine Parsons, 80, of Carthage passed on to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:55 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin.
She was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.
Dorothy was born Oct. 28, 1927, and is survived by her husband of 64 years, C. Lee Parsons. They were married on Oct. 21, 1943, in Carthage. She is also survived by two daughters; Patty Lee and husband Dick of Avilla, and Debbie Shrum and husband Lonnie of Lebanon, Ore., six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters Opal Bray and husband Bud and Georgia Trent both of Carthage, three brothers; Harold Willis and wife Janie, Wayne Willis and wife Joanne both of Carthage and Dale Willis and wife Patty of Wichita, Kan., and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents William "Willie" and Nancy "Patrick" Willis, four sisters; Florence Brewer, Juanita Bray, Betty Branson and June Snyder.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Park Cemetery, Carthage.
