Clancy Lee 'Ikie' Parsons
(December 18, 1918 - July 17, 2010)
Clancy L. Parsons, 91, of Carthage, passed away to be with his Lord and Savior at 11:07 p.m., Saturday, July 17th at McCune Brooks Hospital.
He worked for Safeway Cheese Plant where everyone knew him as Ikie. He retired from there after 25 years.
Clancy Lee was a member of the Church of God.
He was born December 18, 1918 in Greenland, Arkansas to Eugene and Anna "Carlisle" Parsons.
He then moved to Carthage at the age of three months.
Clancy married Dorothy Willis on October 21, 1943 in Carthage, Missouri.
She preceded him in death on October 28, 2007 after 64 years of marriage.
He is survived by two very loving daughters, Patty Lee & husband Dick of Avilla, Missouri, and Debbie Shrum & husband Lonnie of Lebanon, Oregon, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He is also survived by very special in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, both parents, Eugene Parsons and Annie Parsons, and two brothers, Burl Parsons and Burnie Parsons.
