Ellis R. Patrick, 95, Carthage, died at 12:00 p.m. July 8, 2004 at St. Luke's Nursing Center, Carthage.
He was born Sept. 15, 1908 in Ava, Mo. to Columbus A. Patrick and Elizabeth (Maggard) Patrick. He was a long time resident of Carthage. He was a Truck Driver for Morrow Milling for about 40 years. He married Effie Sanders in 1932, who preceded him in death in 1978. He was married to Eva Walker in Miami, Okla. 1982, who preceded him in death in 1991.
He is survived by two sons, Carl Patrick, and his wife Floy, Grove, Okla., and Richard Patrick, and his wife Sheila, Alba, Mo.; two daughters, Vivian Harper, and her husband Jack, Webb City, and Lucille Benefiel, Dixon, Mo. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Helen Southern, in 1971; two brothers, three sisters, and one great grandson, Kevin Townsend, 1988.
Services for Ellis will be held 10 a.m. July 13, 2004 at Ulmer Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery. . . .
