Mable McCoy - Obituary
Mable Elva McCoy, age 84, of Sparta, passed away April 3, 2010 in St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
She was born June 24, 1925 in Bruner, the daughter of Otie and Violet (Nelson) Hull.
On October 29, 1992 she and Roger McCoy were united in marriage.
Although Mable had no children of her own, she was Mother and Friend to many. She had a special gift of showing love and kindness to everyone she met. Everyone she knew loved her. Mable worked for many years at Producers Produce, Empire Foods and Hudson Foods in Springfield until she retired. Mable attended Chadwick Baptist Temple. She loved going to Church Revivals everywhere. She loved the Lord and showed that love to others. Mable will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Orvil Felton, her second husband Dave McHaffie, her parents, two brothers, Kenneth and Arthur Hull, four sisters, Marie Loveland, Joyce Holt, Kate Moore and Fern Anderson.
She is survived by her husband, Roger McCoy; two brothers, Wade Hull, Washington State, and John Hull, Bruner; two sisters, Huba Winslow, Oldfield, Sue Burkhart, Chadwick; several step-children; a special sister-in-law, Pearl McHaffie; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m Thursday, April 8, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Jerry Loveland officiating.
Burial will follow in Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield. . . .
