Kenneth E. Aday - Obituary
Kenneth E. Aday walked with Jesus from his home in Battlefield on Tuesday, July 12, 2005.
He was born May 5, 1929, in Shawnee, Okla., the son of Rufus and Lois Oakla (Friend) Aday.
On December 25, 1949, he married the love of his life, Frieda Shortt, in the home of her parents, Emory and Ortha Shortt.
Kenneth worked 19 years for Bekins Van and Storage in California and 17 years at Paul Mueller in Springfield.
He loved to fish, garden, and spend time with family. He adored the little ones.
Survivors include his wife of 55 1/2 years, Frieda; a daughter, Connie Van Horn and husband, James, Branson; a son, Kenneth Steven Aday and wife, Janet, Pleasant Hope; five grandchildren, Kenneth Robert Friend, Malaina Elliott, Kenneth Steven Aday, Jr., Charles Joseph Aday, and Summer Dawn Aday; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise King, Shawnee, Okla.; two brothers, Carl Aday, Yukon, Okla., and Jack Aday, Shawnee, Okla.; and mother-in-law, Ortha Shortt, Ozark.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, James, Roscoe David, Richard, and Bill Aday.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16, in Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Springfield, with Rev. Carl Thompson officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. . . .
