Jeannette K. Yeager, 88, of Mohnton, died February 8, 2014 in the Reading Hospital.
She was the wife of George E. Yeager, a resident of Kutztown Manor. They would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in April.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Stafford and Violet Rose (Lilac) Pennypacker and step-daughter of the late James A. Pennypacker.
She worked as a clerk at Pennypacker Auctions, Kenhorst and later at Cacoosing Industries, Sinking Spring as a line worker and union representative.
She was a member of St. John Baptist de LaSalle R.C. Church, Shillington.
She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. Jeannette enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, traveling to Florida, sun bathing, being with her family, playing cards and dances at the old Rajah on N. 6th Street. She loved her dogs.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 5 loving daughters: Sussann J., wife of Clifford Smith, West Lawn; Carol L. Reinhart, Sinking Spring; Patricia M. Showalter, companion of William Heckman, Lyons Station; Debora J., wife of Joseph Joffred, Mohnton and Trudy J., wife of James Cusack, Sinking Spring.
Also surviving is 1 brother, James A. Pennypacker Jr., Exeter Twp., a stepsister, Cathy Pennypacker-Bibbus, Kenhorst; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, George E. "Sonny" Yeager Jr. in 1955; brothers, Paul Stafford and Raymond Pennypacker; sister, Nancy Shearer; granddaughter, Stacy Reinhart and great-granddaughter, Briana Kerper.
