WOODARD, SR., Hugh E.— Age 81 of Russellville, KY. December 2, 2007. Elder Hugh Woodard was formerly from Westmoreland, TN.
He was born July 4, 1926 in Smith County, TN.
He was retired from Yellow Freight Lines. He was a Missionary Baptist Minister for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Nirma Dickens Woodard;
his first wife of 55 years, Nellie Ogeal Smallwood Woodard;
his son, Hugh E. "Buddy" Woodard;
his sister, Alberta Griffin;
his granddaughter, Holly Fran Woodard.
He is survived by his wife, Erma Lee Woodard of Russellville, KY;
five daughters, Joyce (Bill) Smith and Linda (Calvin) Collins both of Gallatin, TN, Doris (Ed) Smith of Bethpage, TN, Janice Stinson of Lebanon, TN and Karen (Chubby) Simons of Westmoreland, TN;
two sons, Ricky W. (Judy) Woodard of Westmoreland, TN and Larry (Josie) Woodard of Lexington, KY;
three step sons, Alton (Jill) Knight of Hendersonville, TN, Troy (Dorian) Knight of Florence, SC and Gordon (Jamie) Knight of Carthage, TN;
three brothers, C.C. (Bonnie) Woodard of Bethpage, TN, Charles (Ruth) Woodard of Westmoreland, TN and Glenn (Geraldine) Woodard of Apopka, FL;
21 grandchildren; 19 step grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 14 step great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m., Wednesday from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Randell Belcher and Bro. Jeff Brown officiating.
Interment Sumner Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Elder Woodard's Grandsons. . . .
