GAINESBORO -- Funeral services for Jonas E. Lambert, 83, of Granville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will be in Granville Cemetery.

Mr. Lambert died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at his residence.
He was born June 10, 1927, in Jackson County to the late Gustis and Lillian Ragland Lambert.
Mr. Lambert was employed in construction and farming. He was a member of Chestnut Mound Church of Christ and served in the Army.
His family includes his wife, Dymple Lambert of Granville (whom he married Nov. 20, 1948); a son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Linda Lambert of Elmwood; a daughter, Ramona Lambert of Gordonsville; three grandchildren, Richard Dewayne and wife Heather Lambert, Misty and wife Stephen Austin and Tiffany and husband Joseph Fisher; five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Justin, Carley, Macie and Kaylie Jo; a great-great-grandchild, Brayden; a brother, Billy Lambert of Gainesboro; and a sister, Valmon Kirby of Gainesboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Lambert; a daughter, Regina Lambert; and two brothers, Elbert and Bernice Lambert.
