Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery. . . . Mrs. Chaffin died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at her residence. She was born Aug. 14, 1920, in Jackson County to the late J.W.L. and Clio Welch Jones. Mrs. Chaffin was a member of Bethany Methodist Church. Her family includes a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Janice Chaffin of Cookeville; a grandson, Terry Chaffin; and two great-grandchildren, Danielle and Wesley Chaffin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chaffin was preceded in death by her husband, Lin B. Chaffin, and a brother, Bailey Jones. . . .
