FOLSOMVILLE, Ind. — Edgar "Ed" Lee Conner, 83, passed away Friday, July 24, 2009, at his residence.
Ed was the owner and operator of the Kountry Korner Grocery Store in Folsomville for many years and was always involved in sales. He built his own log home the old-fashioned way and loved the country life. He was a member of the Old Friendship Church, a graduate of Cannelton High School and a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Ed was raised by his grandparents, Walter and Ola Belle Pippin.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Mears) Conner of Folsomville, Ind.; sons, Kyle Conner and his wife, Rosie, of Evansville, Ind., Sam Conner and his wife, Paula, of Evansville, Ind., Jeff Everly and his wife, Donna, of Newburgh, Ind., and Chad Everly of Evansville, Ind.; daughters, Faith Ann Wheeler and her husband, Danny, of Boonville, Ind., and Jessica Salm and her husband, Doug, of Boonville, Ind.; brothers, Sam Conner of Cannelton, Ind., Norman "Bud" Schroeder of Tell City, Ind., James "Jay" Schroeder of Tipton, Ind., and Guy Schroeder of Henryville, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Kaci Wheeler, Brandon and Brittney Everly, Sarah Conner, Melissa and Emily Conner, Taylor and Christian Salm.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Schroeder.
