Buried:
- Died Monday, Aug. 22, 1994, at Care Center, Baton Rouge. She was 84, a native of French Settlement and a resident of Walker.
Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and 8 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Mike Hegwood. Burial in Hiram Stafford Cemetery, Satsuma.
Survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen Stafford Miller, Walker; two sons-in-law, O.D. Wascom and Hubert Kenneth Miller; two sisters, Una Abi Shannon, Shreveport, and Barbara Louise Ellis, Walker; a brother, Wallace Alphonse Brannon, Gonzales; seven grandchildren, Toni Lynn Koger, Stephen K. and Michael T. Miller, Candice Leah Vaughn, Brenda Denise W. Freeman, Suerna Michelle W. Stafford and Virgil Edward Wascom, all of Walker; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband, Virgil E. Stafford; a daughter, Catherine S. Wascom; parents, Bazil [sic] Basil] and Julia Brannon; a brother, Bowman Oliver Brannon; and stepmother, Katie Brannon.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearer is Huey Lee Jones.
She was a member of Walker Baptist Church and Walker Baptist Church Never Grow Old Club.
