  Buried: Daily Register Posted Dec 30, 2011 ELDORADO, ILL. — Shirley Barger, 75, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Fountainview Nursing Home, Eldorado. She was born March 23, 1936, in Golconda to Linnie and Clara Stafford. She married Wendell Barger on July 13, 1952. Shirley is survived by her husband, Wendell Barger; three sons, Linnie Barger, Claude David (Twilght) Barger and Stephen (Vicki) Barger; three daughters, Clara (Claude) Gordon, Laura Ruth (Bob) Braden and Mary Aline Thomas; one brother, Morris "Bud" Stafford; 16 grandchildren, Reba, Andra, Margarett, Claudia Dawn, Claude Ellis "Dinker", Chad Gibbs, David Leonard, Scotty, Wayne, Becky, Laura, Wendell, Jackie, Treva, Gary and Stacy; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, David Russell and Steven Barger; many brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Aly Funeral Home in Golconda. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until time of service.
