  FROM HISTORY OF THE FUNK FAMILY compiled by John L. Funk, 1993 Sarah M. "Sadie" born c 1854, married Eugene C. Johns 20 Jan 1897, in Coshocton County. He worked for the rail road. She ran a boarding house for railroaders in Pittsburgh, PA, for many years. He had a railroad pass and after he retired they traveled extensively. They spent most of their winters in San Diego, CA, their summer headquarters in the Dresden vicinity. They were usually available to help out as house sitters and in family emergencies. After his death, Sadie lived mostly with the Stanfords. She died in 1942, and is buried in the South Lawn Cemetery, Coshocton, Ohio.
