- Mildred D. Stafford, 77, of Logansport, formerly of Carroll County, died at 5:52 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, at Chase Center in Logansport.
Born April 30, 1929, in Westmoreland, Tenn., she was the daughter of Arthur Neal and Rose Perry Perry. She attended Liberty School in Tennessee. Her marriage was on Oct. 22, 1943, to John R. Stafford, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1987.
Mrs. Stafford was an in-home caregiver.
She was also a homemaker and attended the Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, John Stafford Jr. and Tim Stafford (wife: Sarah), all of Camden; three daughters, Carolyn Shirar of Kokomo, Rosemary Henry (husband: Dwayne) and Sara James (husband: Stephen), all of Logansport; a brother, Tom Perry (wife: Sue) of Cutler; a sister, Maggie Hewitt (husband: Paul) of Frankfort; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Ivy Neal Stinson, and two brothers, Joe Perry and Bobby Perry.
