Funeral rites for Clyde A. Stafford, 74, formerly of 1304 W. Abbott, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Meeks Mortuary. Interment will be in the Gardens of Memory. Friends may call at the mortuary from 4 to 9 p.m. today. Delaware Lodge 46 will conduct memorial services at the mortuary at 7:30 p.m. today.
Mr. Stafford died Tuesday in Woodland Nursing Home where he had lived for many years. He was a native of Delaware County, attended Royerton schools and graduated from Muncie Central High School and General Motors Institute. He was employed at Chevrolet-Muncie for 36 years before his became ill. Mr. Stafford was a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church and the Speedy Workers Sunday School Class. He also was a member of Delaware Lodge 46, F&AM and Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis.
Surviving are his wife, Madge Rector Stafford; his daughter, Mrs. Pat Hiatt, Kokomo; a sister, Anna White, Muncie; and a nephew.
Memorials may be directed to Gethsemane United Methodist Church.
