Ronnie W. Eden, 66, Alexandria, passed away at Community Hospital of Anderson on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, following an extended illness.
He was born on April 10, 1950, in Elwood, to the late Frank and Jennie (Stafford) Eden and has lived in Alexandria his entire life. He was a graduate of Alexandria High School-Class of 1968.
He was employed at the former Guide-Lamp in Anderson for 35 years, retiring in 2003. Ronnie was a member of the Christian Congregation Church and enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He was well known for his pie dough.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Eden of Alexandria; son, Anthony (Pam) Eden of Florence, Ala.; daughter, Amy (Anthony) Crisp of Alexandria; and five grandchildren, Kayla and Kelsey Crisp, Matthew, Mark and Parker Eden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister.
Services honoring Ronnie's life and legacy will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Congregation Church, 11015 N. 300E, Alexandria. Pastor Jerry Young will officiate. Interment will be in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria at a later date. Friends may call at the church from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday and from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday prior to the services.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
