  Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service Jan 5, 2012 Mr. Donald Eugene Stafford, 88, of Indianapolis died on January 3, 2012. He was born on December 18, 1923 a son of Charles Strubbe and Ruth O. Stafford Potter. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Virginia Prevedel Stafford. Survivors include a son Robert Eugene Stafford, daughters; Tina (Bill) Lockhart, Linda (Dennis) Huxley, 4 grandchildren; Eric Huxley, Christina (Chris) Herwehe, Rachel (Randall) Sharkey, Seth Lockhart, and 2 great grandchildren; Isabelle Huxley and Nora Sharkey. He is preceded in death by his twin brother Robert Gene Stafford and a half brother Sidney Strubbe. Donald served our country in the United States Navy. He was a machinist's mate third class in the 63rd Naval Construction Battalion (Seabees.) He was self-employed for 20 years and was a carpenter for 24 years for General Motors Corporation, retiring in 1988. Donald was past commander of the Ernie Pyle VFW Post 1120, and VFW 11th District.
