  Josh was the daughter of Alfred and Janie Gregory Stafford. She was married to Albert O'Neal. Josh drowned in Garrett's Creek just above the cemetery when a flash flood come by their home around 6 a.m. March 22, 1952 which also drowned five of her children and a nephew that was staying over night with the family. Her husband Albert, also was swept away in the current but survived as he was washed onto a bank on a near by farm. Josie, age 1 & seven months, is listed as daughter on the 1910 Allen Co. , KY census in the HH of Alford Stafford. Josie M. Stafford, age 11, is listed as Stepdaughter on the 1920 Allen Co ., KY census in the HH of Mury Deffer.
