(Four children are deceased: John Henry, Henrietta Mary, Ida Elsina, and Martin Clarence.) Other: Age 57. Born in Highland County, Ohio; parents: William and Mary Sumner Beeson. Came to Morgan County in 1826. Married Catherine House on April 18, 1849. [Morgan County Marriage Records index gives marriage date as Dec. 31, 1848.] Father of 6 children, only two of which survived him: William Otto and Charlotte Bertha. Second wife Sarah Breedlove died of consumption in White Lick Meeting, Morgan County, Indiana. Quaker and Civil War veteran: Co. B, 117th Regt.; enlisted at the age of 38. [From the Mooresville Enterprise for Dec. 5, 1872: "The house and barn of William Beeson, situated on his farm one mile east of Mooresville, burned.
