The Rev. Lincoln D. Stafford, 91, Linton, died Thursday, April 12, 1990, in an automobile accident at Linton. He was a former Martinsville resident. Born June 3, 1898, near Brooklyn, he was the son of Benjamin F. and Violena Losh Stafford. He married Gertrude Croft, and she survives.
He was an ordained minister of the American Baptist Church. At the time of his death, he was the minister of the Gospel Chapel at Linton. He had been an ordained minister since 1946.
Survivors besides the widow are a son, Howard Stafford of Greenfield; a stepdaugher, Eva Rose Day of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two wives, Lenora Stafford and Zelma Stafford; and one brother, Paul Stafford.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Welch & Cornett Linton Chapel. Burial will be at Mannan Cemetery in rural Cloverdale. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the funeral Tuesday.
